News and Updates!

01/19/10: It's a little bit of bittersweet announcement, but the Face Eater DVD's have been made. The great news is that they came out very well thanks to the folks over at Disk Makers but the bittersweet part comes in the news that we're not ready to take internet orders. We're dealing with complications with business paperwork and bank accounts and actually, these disks have been in our hands for almost a month now but we hesitated to spread the news since they're not quite available yet.

Fear not, however! We're diligently trying to hammer through the delays and have them available for order here on the site through PayPal. Stay tuned here for the good news soon!

11/10/09: Well, the Halloween deadline for the DVD came and went and for that we apologize. We had been battling some unforseen issues with the master copy of the DVD and putting the final touches on it. But unfortunately what that meant was that each version had to be rendered, burned, and then tested completely for defects which totaled more than 6 hours of work for each version of the disk. So you can see how something like that might be a lengthy process.

The great news is that the disk is being replicated as we speak! Given the time of the order and the estimated ship date, those of us doing the distribution expect to have our copies by the end of the first week of December. For those of you that preordered through one of us that worked on the film, you should be getting your copy shortly after that. For those that want to get their copies after we've received them, we're still setting up the store to accept PayPal so hopefully we'll get that going very soon after the disks arrive. But stay tuned here for future developments!

09/21/09: The time has come again for the good folks over at TromaDance, the festival by the people that brought you the Toxic Avenger movies (and oh so many more), to play Face Eater! And with one hell of a time slot, too! Be sure to check it out this Friday the 25th at The Historic Strand Theatre at 250 South Harrison Street in Shelbyville, Indiana! 09/16/09: Attention all passengers. If you look to your left you will see the impending cover of the Face Eater DVD. Those with detective blood in their veins will note that it looks remarkablly similar to the movie poster but with 1 very large difference: there is a DVD inside! We're still putting the finishing touches on the disk itself as we hope to make the Halloween deadline we've been promised so be sure to stay tuned for more updates!

08/18/09: Dear Face Eater fans,

We wanted to inform you that the Face Eater DVD prototype is in it's final stages. In about a month the DVD will go into production and the finished product should be available for purchase by Halloween. We appreciate your continued support and patience. It has taken us 5 years to get to this point and needless to say we're all very excited.

06/12/09: Hiya, kids. If you've been trying to access the site only to find it gone over the last couple weeks, we apologize profusely. There was a snafu regarding domain renewal and some confusion as to how things like that are handled, but we've gotten it squared away. Sorry again about all that, but rest assure, the website is still here and we haven't gone anywhere. In fact, the DVD is underway so stay tuned for updates on when you can start preordering your copy of Face Eater!

05/12/09: Hey Zipperheads,

The Official Face Eater DVD is in the works! We have gathered all of the behind-the-scenes footage, bloopers, extended scenes, commentaries, interviews, pictures, introductions, and trailers and will be including them all in a loaded DVD that even a giant, demonic, flesh-eating chicken would enjoy.

04/09/09: Dear Face Eater Fans,

Thank you for your interest in the Face Eater film! We've been bombarded lately with emails asking us about the Face Eater DVD. Unfortunately, the DVD is not for sale at the moment as the producers are currently promoting Face Eater to film festivals around the United States with the hopes of obtaining distribution. However, if the film does not have a distributor by mid- to late-summer, the producers will be self-distributing the film, and you will be able to purchase it right here at the website.

The official DVD will include behind the scenes photos, commentary with director Jarrod Perrott and screenwriter Jon McClure, bloopers, and interviews with the cast and crew. Thank you for your patience. We hope to share the madness of Face Eater with you in the very near future!

03/11/09: Another message straight from the director:

"I have received the updated special effects and will now be doing a re-edit of the film. We will be submitting it to more festivals once this has been completed, which will be very soon."

02/15/09: Just a quick message to let everyone know that we're still alive and kicking around these parts. The Face Eater IMDB page is almost completely finished, we're just waiting on some final polishing. As far as upcoming showings, we're waiting on some scenes with enhanced special effects and doing some more tweaking before the latest copies of the film get sent out to the next round of festivals. Stay tuned right here for more information when we have it!

12/17/08: Straight from the director's mouth, everyone!

As Flecks would say "Great news!" I have just completed the utterly grueling process of entering all the Face Eater information into the database of IMDb. Please see below:

10/30/08: A tremendous thanks to everyone that made last night's "very full house" as much of a success as it was. You guys (the fans) are the reason we do these things and we more than appreciate your continual support for the entire project. Oh, and happy Halloween!

10/12/08: The store page is now all pretty and stuff! Go check it out to see each item displayed before you in a shimmering sea of purchasability!

10/02/08: It's that time of year again; the time of year when the Abbey Theatre in downtown Durango shows Face Eater as its annual Halloween-time movie. The show is Wednesday the 29th of October at 6:30 PM. Get your tickets now!

09/23/08: The results are in over at TromaDance and we made it! Face Eater will be playing in its first ever film festival appearance this Friday, September 26th at 9 PM at the Juke Box Live located at 188 W Jefferson Street in Franklin, Indiana!

09/18/08: The wait is over, friends! The Face Eater soundtrack is finally available on iTunes! We've also been informed that Face Eater has been selected as a finalist in the TromaDance film festival. Stay tuned to see what happens with that!

08/26/08: Rejoice, all of you people that want to proudly brandish the name and images of Face Eater on various wearables, things to drink fluids from, and the etcetera, for we have a store! In the meantime that's the only link, but stick with us as we work to make the Store page on the site look all pretty and shiny. But for now, go buy stuff!

08/06/08: Minor's first studio album, The Rousing, is available to buy on her website! We spoke with Minor this morning and the Face Eater soundtrack will be available soon, first on iTunes and then on CD. Watch for updates!
